Editorial & medical review policy

Who writes and reviews our content

All health content published on Women's Health GP is written and reviewed by AHPRA-registered Australian general practitioners. Our clinicians have genuine expertise in women's health and are accountable to the Medical Board of Australia.

Every condition page and article carries a 'Medically reviewed by' byline identifying the reviewing GP, along with the date it was last reviewed. You can click the reviewer's name to view their professional bio and qualifications.

How we keep content up to date

Medical guidance changes over time. Our clinical team reviews each page regularly to ensure the information reflects current Australian practice and guidelines from authoritative bodies such as the RACGP, the TGA, healthdirect and Jean Hailes.

When guidance changes, we update the page and reset the 'Last reviewed' date. If you notice anything that seems outdated, please contact us so we can review it promptly.

Evidence and references

Where we make clinical claims, we cite authoritative Australian health sources. Each condition page and article includes a References section listing the sources consulted.

Our content is general information only. It is not a substitute for individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified GP about your personal circumstances.

Independence and conflicts of interest

Our editorial content is produced independently of any commercial arrangement. GPs are not paid to recommend specific products, medications or providers.

Where a treatment or referral is mentioned, it is because the reviewing GP considers it clinically appropriate — not because of any commercial incentive.

How to give feedback

If you have questions, corrections or feedback about any of our content, please contact us at hello@womenshealthgp.au. We take all feedback seriously and will review content promptly if there is a clinical concern.
